| Description: | Each and every Service at Destiny Church Nelson is a unique experience. We alternate between a Communion Service one week Outreach Services the next. At a Communion Service we have one of our Church members share what communion means to them, and then communion emblems (Juice & bread) are handed out to the congregation so that everyone can partake together. An Outreach Service includes a salvation testimony from one of our Church Members and an item of dance, drama or song from either our Youth Ministry, our Drama Ministry or our Worship Team. During special occasions we also enjoy cultural items from the Destiny Nelson Kapa Haka Team and also the Destiny Nelson Pasifika Team. Our cultural groups excel in bringing God's Kingdom expression through their cultural heritage and have written unique Powhiri (welcome), Haka (dance) and Karakia (prayers) for their live performances. At every Church Service we conduct live Praise & Worship with many of the songs written locally by members of our Worship Team. The Praise & Worship at Destiny Church Nelson is vibrant, passionate and will nurture within you a deep love for Jesus Christ. Also at each Service we provide our members and visitors with the opportunity to sow into the ministry of Destiny Church Nelson with an offering. From there we progress through the Church Notices for the week to help keep you up with what's happening in and through the week within the Church. The climax of each Service is the preached message with an emphasis on the Word of God, the Holy Bible. Each message is presented by our Senior Pastor or by a Church member or visiting Minister that our Senior Pastor has invited to preach. You will find that the standard of preaching at Destiny Church Nelson is very high and every message will impact you, leaving you full of the revelation of the Holy Spirit. You can take a look at some of our previously preached messages in our video archive . At the conclusion of the preached message we offer an altar call and ministry time as the Holy Spirit leads. Then our Cafe opens to serve free instant coffee, tea and hot chocolates as well as the option to purchase fresh espresso coffees, lattes, cappuccinos and fancy hot chocolates. We also stock a wholesome range of cafe style food so that you can enjoy lunch together. We look forward to meeting with you at our next service. |
